Her Interview
Ten minutes with Dr. Stephanie
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success first and foremost to God, whose guidance and grace have sustained me throughout my journey. I am also deeply grateful for the unwavering support of my family, who have encouraged and inspired me every step of the way. Finally, my love for serving others and my commitment to my community have given purpose and meaning to my work, motivating me to make a positive impact wherever I serve.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I have ever received is to always remain willing to learn. Lifelong learning is essential for personal and professional growth. I also believe there are only two answers in life: yes or no. When I hear "no," I don't view it as a setback. Instead, I see it as an opportunity to pivot, improve, and find another path that ultimately leads to "yes."
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I encourage young women to embrace every opportunity to learn and grow. Build your knowledge, refine your skills, and never stop investing in yourself. Be confident in your abilities and become a strong voice for female leadership. Challenges will come, and you will hear "no" at times, but don't let that discourage you. Instead, use those moments to pivot, adapt, and continue moving toward your goals with determination and resilience.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the greatest challenges in education and leadership is ensuring that strong female voices continue to be represented and valued in leadership roles. At the same time, rapid advances in technology present tremendous opportunities for growth and innovation. It is essential to remain knowledgeable in your field, continually strengthen your expertise, and effectively integrate emerging technologies into your work while never losing sight of the human connections that make education and leadership meaningful.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
My faith in God, my love for my family, and my commitment to serving my community are the foundation of my personal life. Professionally, I value collaboration, diversity, integrity, and excellence. I believe the best outcomes are achieved when people work together, respect different perspectives, and remain committed to creating opportunities that empower others to succeed.
