Dr. Tammy Mason is a dynamic Leadership Consultant, Mentor, and Coach whose life’s mission is to empower others through faith, education, and service. With more than three decades of distinguished experience in public education, she has excelled as an elementary and secondary school principal, district director, and now serves as an Adjunct Professor in the School of Education at Emmanuel University, where she also sits on the Advisory Board. Her teaching philosophy centers on shaping future educators through servant leadership, integrity, and compassion. A lifelong learner, Dr. Mason holds an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix, along with advanced degrees from Clemson and Brenau Universities and Emmanuel University.

Throughout her accomplished career, Dr. Mason has been recognized for her excellence in education and leadership with multiple awards, including being twice named Teacher of the Year, receiving the Outstanding Educator Award, Outstanding Leadership and Service Award, and the NAACP Educator’s Award. Her leadership extends beyond the classroom—as she has served as President of the Georgia Association of Educators (local chapter), Board Member of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Northeast Georgia, and Founder of Women of Destiny (WOD) at Emmanuel University, a mentoring and empowerment initiative for young women. Her influence continues to inspire countless students, colleagues, and community members to lead with purpose and serve with heart.

In addition to her educational and community work, Dr. Mason is an ordained and licensed minister, an international bestselling author, and a passionate global speaker who shares her message of faith, obedience, and leadership worldwide. Recently representing the United States as a delegate at the first Philippines Leadership Summit, she continues to make a global impact through her ministry and mentorship. A true servant leader, Dr. Mason embodies the values of faith, humility, and excellence, encouraging others to embrace their calling, trust God’s timing, and say “yes” to their divine purpose.

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to perseverance, a genuine passion for my work, a strong educational foundation, and the invaluable guidance of great mentors in my life. My faith has also played a pivotal role in accomplishing the things that I have thus far. I strive to make a difference every day, both personally and professionally, by staying committed to continuous growth and purposeful impact.

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is to lead by example, be genuine, remain positive and proactive, and welcome change. It’s through change that we grow stronger and gain valuable new perspectives. Always believe in yourself and focus on becoming the person you know you are meant to become.

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to be confident in yourself and your abilities. Believe that you belong in every room you enter, and don’t let anything or anyone stand in the way of your goals. Determination, discipline, and consistency will carry you far. Also never be afraid to ask questions and seek support from those who have already paved the way.

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest opportunities in my field right now is the ability to help as many people as possible by sharing knowledge and resources that make a real difference. The challenge lies in reaching those who may not yet know that I’m here to support them—but that also presents a rewarding opportunity to build trust, expand connections, and create meaningful impact.

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me, both in my work and personal life, are my faith and integrity. I strive to give my best every day, treat others with kindness and respect, and lead by example. I prioritize building relationships and meaningful connections that are rooted in trust, respect, and communication—providing a source of support and knowledge. I believe true leadership comes from serving others, staying compassionate, and consistently striving to make a positive impact. I especially value and enjoy quality time with my loved ones, which includes traveling, exploring hiking trails, and soaking up college football.
