Her Story

About Dr Teresa

Dr. Teresa Grayson serves as managing founder of SoulDocs Incorporated, a non-profit organization dedicated to delivering community counseling services to residents of Columbus, Ohio, without turning anyone away due to financial constraints. In addition, she co-owns Happy Flex, a growing virtual call center that connects remote customer service agents with Fortune 500 clients in banking, resort, and retail industries, allowing flexible scheduling in 30-minute increments. After 11 years in her field and earning her doctorate from Regent University in May of this year, Dr. Grayson also authored a memoir to inspire others facing challenges. She partners with High Point Fellowship Church on initiatives such as the winter homeless drive to collect clothing, foodstuffs, tents, and monetary donations for those displaced during Ohio winters. Dr. Grayson attributes her accomplishments to never stopping dreaming and writing down goals with actionable steps, while prioritizing family time and community support as core values that drive her work empowering overlooked populations.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Dr Teresa

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to never stopping dreaming. I always have dreams and write down goals and beginning steps to accomplish them. Even at my age I am still dreaming and believe I can accomplish anything I dream of.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

When you first begin and it seems like you're not going anywhere, keep going. It's not always the easiest thing but it's the most rewarding thing. So don't give up on your dream if you have a dream. It will fall into place if you don't quit.

03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Family is huge for me. I became an entrepreneur to spend more time with my children and grandchildren. Community is also important because community is your extended family. That's why SoulDocs is my real baby - reaching people most overlook.
