George attributes her success to her family and faith, which continue to motivate and inspire her. As the first person in her family to graduate from college, she pursued a doctorate to set an example for her two daughters and demonstrate that women can achieve anything they set their minds to. Her advice to young women entering the industry is to set clear goals and remain persistent, even in the face of setbacks. She believes that failure is an important part of growth and that some of her greatest lessons have come from the challenges she has overcome.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Dr. Trisha
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my family and faith, which continue to inspire and motivate me to pursue my goals. As the first person in my family to graduate from college, I pursued my doctorate to set an example for my two daughters and demonstrate that women are capable of achieving anything they set their minds to. I want them to understand that their possibilities are limitless, and that with determination, faith, and hard work, anything is possible.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering my industry is to set clear goals and never give up, regardless of the challenges they encounter. If you fall down seven times, get up eight. Perseverance is essential, and I have learned more from my failures than from my successes. Every setback is an opportunity to learn, grow, and come back stronger, so the most important thing is to keep moving forward.
