Her Interview

Ten minutes with Dr.Victoria Anastasia

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success first and foremost to God and also to passion. The fact that I never stopped at doing what I was doing, just because I like to help women in every way, and to encourage women, and let women be at the forefront when it comes to their health.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

One of the best career advice I've received is not to do everything, but to be the best in something. Find your niche, find where you are good at. You don't have to do everything. Just the little effort you put, consistency over time, is enough.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

They should be bold and go for what they want. There are more opportunities out there. Just being confident and just going with a leap that this is it, and that's what I'm doing, and then you go for it.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Challenges include cultural differences and beliefs, and less focus on women's health now. Opportunities include getting to know people, building your career, specializing in data analysis, research, policy making, health management.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Integrity is very important to me. Respect for everybody. Consistency. Trust.
