Her Story
About Eboni
After undergrad, I spent about 8 months in an accounting cash application specialist role that was part of my finance and accounting degree. It was entry-level and unfulfilling but gave me perspective. I started my MBA program at the University of Denver, where I learned about management consulting. During my MBA, I interned at my current company, gaining experience in technology consulting and developing a passion for AI adoption and strategy. This led me to consulting where I can work on internal projects and with clients.

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Being flexible enough to be open to getting as much experience as you can, but not too flexible that you're getting roles that do not align with your end goal or passion, and not being too rigid that you're excluding opportunities that could have a great impact.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Embrace the unknown and truly be a sponge. Be open and willing to say yes to things you may not have much experience in. Everything in your first couple of months and year is the perfect opportunity to learn and gain experience.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Upskilling is a big challenge, especially having to be more technical in a technology consulting firm when your interest is in strategy and consulting work. It's like learning a new language for someone not comfortable with technical details.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Adaptability, responsibility, integrity, optimism, and open-mindedness are most important. Adaptability has impacted me recently, and open-mindedness helps me not miss opportunities that could expand my horizons.
