Eden Collazo
Eden Collazo is a Scientist at Unilever, where she applies her expertise in chemical and cosmetic engineering to advance innovative skincare solutions. Since joining Unilever in 2021, she has contributed to research and development initiatives that bridge science and purpose-led care, including her work representing Vaseline at the Skin of Color Update Conference in New York City. Eden’s work emphasizes evidence-based skincare, inclusive dermatology, and real-world impact for diverse communities.
Eden earned her Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Chemistry and Mathematics from Manhattan College, where she also pursued a concentration in Cosmetic Engineering through specialized courses in Formulations and Emulsions. During her academic career, she actively participated in organizations such as the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, Society of Women Engineers, and Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, building a foundation of leadership, teamwork, and technical expertise.
Prior to her current role, Eden gained experience as a Public Services Aide with the Rockland County Department of Environmental Health, where she conducted laboratory analysis and field testing for West Nile Virus, and as a Sales Associate at Gap, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to excellence. A proud Puerto Rican woman, she values representation in STEM and continues to advocate for inclusive scientific practices while driving innovation in the cosmetics industry.
