Edith Sumaquial
Edith Sumaquial is a human-centric innovator and strategic leader with a passion for bridging creativity, business, and community impact. As the CEO and Founder of Kulay Collective, she leads end-to-end product development with a focus on digital product growth, market adoption, and strategic planning. Her expertise in workflow optimization, KPI development, and business relationship management ensures scalable success for her clients, blending analytical rigor with creative vision to deliver measurable results.
In addition to her corporate endeavors, Edith is the Founder and Director of Elevate Dance Company, LLC, where she has transformed the organization into San Joaquin County’s top-performing arts school. Under her leadership, the company has achieved 93% brand recognition and a 91% retention rate, expanded into retail and mentorship programs, and launched Elevate Dance Apparel to promote body-positive dancewear. Edith’s commitment to community impact is reflected in her mentorship programs for dancers of color, strategic workforce planning, and advocacy for inclusivity in the arts.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Edith serves as Deputy Director of Institutional Advancement for the San Joaquin County Historical Society & Museum and Chair of the Board for the Elevate Artists Foundation, supporting youth in the arts through scholarships and career-building programs. Her journey is deeply personal: a lifelong dancer who returned to the art form inspired by her daughters’ passion for dance, she integrates her corporate experience to create structured opportunities for the next generation of artists. Edith balances her professional pursuits with a love for family, culinary experiences, film, theater, and advocacy work in her community, earning recognition for five consecutive years as the region’s best local dance studio.
