Nina is recognized as the first woman to hold this position at WPI, demonstrating both technical expertise and trailblazing leadership in a traditionally male-dominated industry. With over 15 years in the oil and gas sector, Nina's experience spans production, drilling, midstream operations, and health, safety, and environmental management. She emphasizes operational efficiency, empathetic leadership, and career development for emerging managers. Her background in HSE has provided a strong foundation for transitioning into high-level operational roles while maintaining a safe, compliant, and productive work environment. Outside of work, Nina balances professional commitments with family life, faith, and entrepreneurial pursuits. She operates a charcuterie board business, Savor It, selling at local farmers’ markets, and enjoys spending time with her family. Work hard, take initiative, stay humble, and always look for the next opportunity. Developing technical knowledge is critical to overcoming stereotypes and building credibility in this highly technical field.

The industry is very tech-heavy, and competing against traditional mindsets and evolving technologies is both a challenge and an opportunity to innovate and lead.
