Her Story
About Eileen
Eileen Connolly brings over three decades of expertise in logistics and operations to her current role as a lead at Walgreens. After beginning her career with positions in banking and grocery retail, she spent six years in customs brokerage before joining Transgroup Worldwide Logistics. There, she advanced from handling ocean import shipments to serving as ocean import supervisor and eventually operations manager, remaining with the company through its transition to Scan Global Logistics for a total of 30 years. Following brief stints at BTX Global Logistics and a shift away from the logistics sector, she joined Walgreens two months ago, where she oversees staff support, customer problem-solving, inventory, and financial balancing. She credits her professional growth to her long-time boss Lars Parsnos, whose open-door policy encouraged debate, learning from mistakes, and collaborative decision-making.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute a lot of my success to my boss Lars Parsnos who had an open-door policy, let us argue points, make mistakes, and grow collaboratively. He allowed us to use our brains and instincts rather than just following orders.
