About Elain

Elain Finley is an entrepreneur, financial educator, and personal development coach dedicated to helping individuals gain the clarity, confidence, and tools they need to create lasting success. As an entrepreneur with Wealth Builders and through her work in financial services, she empowers clients to better understand their financial situations, build long-term wealth, and develop healthier mindsets around money. Guided by a client-centered philosophy, Finley believes financial education should be approachable, practical, and focused on helping people create meaningful, sustainable futures rather than simply selling products.

Drawing on a diverse professional background, Finley has built expertise across customer success, executive coaching, leadership development, academic advising, organizational psychology, and strategic communication. Before entering the financial services industry, she served as a college advisor, worked in logistics and marketing, and spent nearly two decades with Trader Joe's, experiences that strengthened her ability to connect with people from all walks of life. She is also active in initiatives that promote authentic communication, personal growth, and inclusive conversations around leadership, identity, and emotional intelligence.

Finley holds four academic degrees, including two master's degrees in business-related disciplines, along with a bachelor's degree in business administration and an associate degree in fashion design. She is certified in approval addiction counseling and continues to expand her expertise through neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) and personal development training. She attributes her success to resilience, resourcefulness, and taking personal responsibility, while placing the highest value on trust, reliability, and follow-through. Passionate about helping others move beyond limitations, Finley remains committed to developing people, strengthening relationships, and creating opportunities for both personal and financial prosperity.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Elain

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to resilience and resourcefulness. Life has knocked me down more than once, but I've always chosen to take full responsibility for how I respond. I focus on what I can control, learn from every challenge, and keep my power within rather than letting circumstances define me. That mindset has enabled me to keep moving forward and continue growing, both personally and professionally.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I've ever received was to step outside my comfort zone and not feel obligated to follow the traditional corporate path. Embracing new opportunities, taking calculated risks, and forging my own direction have allowed me to grow in ways I never would have by simply staying on the expected path.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to stay the course and keep your vision firmly in sight. Let the life and career you aspire to create pull you forward through the inevitable challenges and setbacks. When your purpose is clear, it becomes easier to navigate the valleys with resilience, confidence, and determination.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in the financial industry today is helping people shift their mindset and recognize that there are alternative strategies for making their money work more effectively for them. At the same time, one of the greatest opportunities comes from the large number of retiring financial advisors and the growing population of baby boomers seeking guidance on how to preserve, grow, and strategically manage their wealth for retirement.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

In my professional life, I value trust, reliability, and following through on my commitments. Personally, I believe relationships should be enjoyable, uplifting, and built on mutual respect and reciprocity. Those values guide how I connect with others and how I approach both my work and my life.
