Her Story

About Elder

My day starts between 6 and 6:30 with devotions to the Lord, because a day without Him in my life doesn't mean anything. After my morning devotion, I post daily inspirational verses based on the Bible to my Facebook page and share them to my LinkedIn page, something I've been doing for many, many years. I then look at my phones (I have 3) to see what calls have come in that I need to return. I talk to women from around the country and from different countries such as South Africa and London, answering questions and encouraging whoever is looking for help with whatever situation they're in. I visit people in the hospital for prayer, as I used to be on the pastoral team for Uniontown Hospital and now come at will for those who need prayer. By 3 o'clock, I'm normally done with my day's appointments, and then that's my time. I write daily and am currently working on what will be my third book. I prepare notes for my upcoming program on Sunday, where I host a syndicated broadcast on WMBS 590 AM and 101 FM in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, and WHRI 1340 in Rock Hill, South Carolina, which I've been doing for 5 years. When I'm called to preach in different churches, I go over my notes and sermon. My organization, Diamonds Women in Wisdom Love Support Unity, stands for all women who have gone through something in life, because that's how we become influential and make a difference in our homes and communities by using our past experiences to help others overcome whatever they're going through. I organize a breakfast once a year to raise money for homeless veteran women and children through an organization called Rendu House, and I organize events for the city I live in.

01What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The most important value to me is living with integrity and having your character in front of people be the same as when you're alone. That's what's important to me. I believe in encouragement, inspiration, and emboldening a woman to be the best that she can be all the way around. Even in her hard times, even in her weakness, she can still choose to make right decisions, or call on a girlfriend or someone who's close to her to encourage her and help build her up to keep her from falling. Why? Because two are better than one. I start my day with devotions to the Lord, because a day without Him in my life doesn't mean anything. Once you've been through some stuff in life and overcome things in your life, you can't do nothing but be joyous and happy. I am for all women, all over. I don't concentrate on one political party or things like that. I support all women from all creeds and nations. Everything that I do for the community and everywhere I've been in different countries, it all has to do with living with integrity.
