About Elecia
Elecia Crumpton is a design leadership, visual communication, UX design, brand strategy, information design, public-sector communication, creative consulting, and project management professional with experience helping mission-driven organizations, public institutions, and businesses improve clarity, visibility, user experience, and audience engagement. She currently serves as Founder and Design Director of Cite, A Creative Consultancy. Her background includes graphic design for transportation and public-sector clients, UX research training with Three Five Two, and 15 years of freelance design leadership through Effection. She holds an AS in Graphic Design and an AA in Fine Arts from Santa Fe College, a BFA in Visual Communication from Northern Illinois University, and a Human-Centered Design certificate from UC San Diego via Coursera. She is a member of BNI and a former member of AIGA.

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Communication is so important. Open, clear, constant communication. Relationships are very important in business, and trust.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Be tenacious, stay hungry. Learn as much as you can, stay curious. Avoid burnout as much as you can. Self-care is so important. Make sure there's balance in your life.
