Her Interview
Ten minutes with Eleonora
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the support and mentorship I received early in my career. A former leader at ICU Medical recognized my potential and entrusted me with opportunities to contribute to high-visibility projects, which helped launch my career in regulatory affairs and ultimately opened the door to leadership and people management. Those experiences, combined with my willingness to learn, take on new challenges, and continuously develop both my technical and interpersonal skills, have been instrumental in shaping my professional growth.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering regulatory affairs is to recognize the value of combining both technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills. Regulatory affairs is an excellent field for individuals who enjoy applying technical knowledge while also communicating, collaborating, negotiating, and building relationships across diverse teams. Effective communication has been one of the most important contributors to my own success, so I encourage young women to continuously develop their ability to communicate clearly, confidently, and strategically.
03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are continuous growth, mentorship, and creating opportunities for others to succeed. Throughout my 11-year career in regulatory affairs, I have enjoyed the opportunity to work on diverse projects, continually learn, and grow alongside the people and organizations I serve. One of my most meaningful accomplishments has been becoming a people manager and mentor, helping junior colleagues develop their expertise in regulatory affairs and advance within the company. My experience with the Society of Women Engineers, including serving as a local section president, further strengthened my belief in the power of mentorship, leadership, and access to resources, particularly for women pursuing careers in traditionally underrepresented fields. These values continue to guide my professional development, including earning Regulatory Affairs Certifications for both the United States and European Union and pursuing an MBA at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management, an opportunity encouraged by my leadership as part of my continued growth.
