Eliza Bocksch is an accomplished healthcare operations leader and senior care professional serving as Operating Director for Cornerstone Caregiving in El Cajon, California. In her role, she leads the agency's day-to-day operations while cultivating partnerships with hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and other healthcare providers to ensure families receive timely, compassionate home care services. She also consults directly with clients and their families to develop personalized care plans and oversees caregiver recruitment, scheduling, and team management, supporting a staff of approximately 30 caregivers dedicated to helping seniors age safely and comfortably at home.

With nearly seven years of experience spanning retail sales, healthcare technology, and operations leadership, Eliza has built a career centered on relationship development, strategic problem-solving, and people-first leadership. She began her professional journey in commission-based retail while attending college, advancing into management before transitioning into healthcare software sales as both a business development representative and account executive. Her passion for senior care was inspired by her academic background in behavioral neuroscience and biomedical ethics at the University of San Diego, where she graduated with departmental honors in 2023. As a certified personal trainer and nutrition coach, she brings a unique understanding of brain health, wellness, and healthy aging to her work, allowing her to advocate for holistic care that supports both physical and cognitive well-being.

Eliza is driven by a deep commitment to dignity, compassion, and meaningful human connection. Motivated by a desire to achieve financial independence after witnessing her parents' financial challenges, she has built a career defined by resilience, continuous growth, and service. Recognized as one of the 2026 Influential Women, Eliza continues to inspire others through her leadership, community involvement, and dedication to improving the lives of seniors and the professionals who care for them.

Ten minutes with Eliza

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to a willingness to embrace new opportunities and continuously grow throughout my career. I began in retail sales while I was in college to help pay my rent, then advanced through management and technology sales roles before transitioning into senior care. My background in neuroscience has given me a deeper understanding of human behavior and brain health, which helps me connect families with the care and support they need. Achieving financial independence and being able to provide for my parents after watching them struggle has been one of my greatest sources of motivation and fulfillment.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would encourage young women to give themselves grace and not take every challenge too personally. Sales is a competitive, male-dominated industry, but it's important to remain confident while also practicing self-compassion. Embrace opportunities to learn, trust your abilities, and remember that growth comes with experience.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges is the highly competitive nature of sales and the continued male dominance within the industry. At the same time, I see meaningful opportunities through organizational growth, expanding our teams, and

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that matter most to me are extending grace to myself and others, treating every person—especially seniors—with dignity and respect, and building financial independence so I can provide stability and support for my family.
