About Elizabeth
Elizabeth Benitez serves as a Lead Therapist in an intensive outpatient program in Los Angeles, California. She entered the mental health field in 2015 and transitioned to California from Indiana, where she had been Chief of Clinical Services at a pediatric hospital since the end of 2019. In that role she advanced quickly into leadership after graduate school, overseeing programs, mentoring clinicians and interns, and developing systems to improve patient care. Benitez earned a Master's degree in social work following her undergraduate studies at Ball State. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated and has been recognized with two corporate level awards for achieving top safety metrics and the highest patient quality outcomes. She remains committed to staying connected to her purpose in the field, mentoring the next generation of professionals, and expanding access to mental health services.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Never forget, always stay connected to your purpose. Always remember you can't pour from an empty cup. You have to take care of yourself first.
