Her Story

About Elizabeth

Elizabeth Berg began her career with a BFA in theater design focused on lighting design, initially pursuing roles in the theater industry before transitioning to project management. After five years in entry-level support positions, she pursued an MBA from Notre Dame to build a stronger business foundation. Since completing her degree, she has worked full-time in technology project management, starting at Whirlpool Corporation in IT projects for manufacturing around 2017. For the past six years, she has been at Red Zone, where she specializes in AV Tech transformation for manufacturing clients, helping them navigate digital transformations to improve data visibility. Elizabeth attributes her success to establishing strong partnerships and collaborative relationships with business colleagues, and she advises young women entering the field to surround themselves with supportive mentors and to seek out conversations with professionals in desired roles.

Ten minutes with Elizabeth

01What do you attribute your success to?

I think I'm most successful at projects when I have good partnerships set up well. Establishing good relationships with business colleagues is going to be really successful. Noticing where you can collaborate or offer influence in more complex ways.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Surround yourself with people that make you feel smart, and make you feel heard. Nurturing those relationships gives you valuable insight. Don't be afraid to ask pretty obvious questions about your career. Go where the work is, and talk to somebody that's doing what you think you want to do.
