About Elizabeth
Elizabeth Carazo-Rodriguez is an operations manager with four years of experience in the real estate industry. She currently serves as Operations Manager at HDS Realty, where she has worked since 2020. Previously, she worked in transportation for the same employer. She holds a BSN from Universidad Simon Bolivar in Colombia, an Associates of Science in Management from College of DuPage obtained in 2019, and a Master's in Business Administration from Lewis University obtained in 2022, along with a Leadership Course Certificate from Lewis University. Her areas of specialization include leadership, problem solving, operations improvement, and customer service. She attributes her success to investing in her own knowledge and values honesty and loyalty in her work and personal life. She advises young women entering the industry not to be afraid of new things, as everyone learns through experience.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I think the way I have learned and invested on my own knowledge. So that's what makes me value, look at myself as a person, as a professional.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
To do my best.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
To not be afraid of the new things, because with time you will be an expert and you will learn about it. So at the beginning everybody is kind of afraid of making mistakes or something. That is part of the journey.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Challenges: being able to understand all those people's talks and try to connect all of that together to go to a solution that is gonna side positively to each one, because everybody's different. Opportunities: to help me to understand better other people, and take those challenges as an opportunity because I'm learning from different points of view and different people with different experiences and knowledge.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Honesty. I wanna see loyalty. Mostly that. Like be able to connect with people and understand each other, because everybody has different beliefs. So be honest with a person.
