01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

If you have the opportunity to work for a very large company at their headquarters instead of a satellite office, do that for networking. Volunteer and raise your hand often. Build strong positive relationships with people in other functions. Don't gossip and work hard not to be negative. Be a team player. Continue to educate yourself on emotional intelligence, communication, and AI. Always think about your next career step by looking at job descriptions to see required skills.

02What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Challenges include constant layoffs in tech since 2022, AI eliminating roles flooding the market with candidates, and post-COVID return to work expectations for remote options. Opportunities exist in learning to use AI to automate recruiting tasks and better searches, and selling the strategic human elements like reading body language that AI cannot do.
