Elizabeth Cornish-Cunningham is a seasoned healthcare segment leader and commercial sales professional with more than 28 years of experience spanning interior design, construction manufacturing, and business development. Currently serving as Healthcare Segment Leader at DuPont, she specializes in architectural surfacing solutions and works with healthcare organizations, designers, architects, fabricators, and commercial clients to support innovative and functional environments. Her expertise includes account management, B2B sales, market expansion, client relationships, product specification, and strategic growth within the healthcare and construction sectors.
Elizabeth’s career journey reflects a unique blend of design, business, and sales expertise. She began her professional path studying engineering at Manhattan College before discovering her passion for design, earning a Bachelor’s degree and later pursuing interior design studies at Parsons School of Art and Design. Her early career included roles at The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation and Merrill Lynch, where she gained experience in finance, workplace planning, and commercial interiors. She later transitioned into sales and construction solutions, building deep industry knowledge through positions with Forms + Surfaces, Kohler Interiors Hospitality, and DuPont.
Throughout her career, Elizabeth has been committed to advancing healthcare design through education, collaboration, and innovation. At DuPont, she helps drive the adoption of high-performance surface materials in hospitals and commercial environments while guiding clients through best practices in specification and execution. She is also actively involved with Women in Healthcare NYC, where she supports professional development through educational programs, forums, and networking opportunities.
