Ten minutes with Elizabeth

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to just my passion for loving what I do. I enjoy getting up every day, and it's not always easy and I work long hours, but I enjoy what I do and I feel lucky to enjoy what I do and I feel lucky to help people make a difference in people's lives.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

You never stop learning. You never know enough. You just always want to be open to learning more and more things.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Keep focusing on the different stages of life you're going through. There's always going to be a different phase that you're going to learn about and you're just going to have to adapt your training and coach people and the way you help them with nutrition and workouts is going to change as you age. Just keep educating yourself because you might not even know that you're going through changes.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge is getting people to understand that online coaching is actually better than in-person coaching. It's 24-7 accountability and services that you wouldn't get if you had an in-person coach. You can also set habit goals like hydration or reducing stress. It's an all-encompassing wellness package that you don't get doing one-on-one.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Family, friends, just staying in touch, prioritizing them, being supportive, just helping others. It's a good feeling to help people who don't have as much as you. Helping people in need with their nutrition, being healthy, workouts, just being active.
