Elizabeth Goff

I work as a server in the food and beverage industry, a role I've held for 23 years across different restaurants. My typical day starts with opening up the restaurant, unlocking the doors, making the tea, putting the soda machine back together, making sure we have all our sauces, and ensuring the restaurant is clean from the night before, which I usually closed myself. Then I start welcoming customers in and put on my customer service face. I've been at my current restaurant for about a year, but the work is essentially the same because all restaurants are basically the same. What I love most about this work is the money, the interaction with people, and the people pleasing aspect. I'm also currently expanding my skills by pursuing an associate's degree in medical billing and coding. I started this program with Ultimate Medical Academy in Clearwater, Florida, and now I take courses every Wednesday with an instructor here in Atlanta. I expect to complete my degree at the end of September.
