Her Story

About Elizabeth

Elizabeth Headrick brings over 25 years of experience in the healthcare field, where her career path was shaped by a genuine interest in health, fitness, and self-care. After her father passed away in 2010, she moved back into her family home to help care for her mother, an experience that allowed her to apply and deepen her expertise in caring for elderly patients and patients in general. She is now transitioning into personal coaching, focusing on women who have been in narcissistic relationships or marriages to narcissistic men, drawing from her own family background and observations of toxic dynamics. Elizabeth attributes her success to never giving up on herself and her faith-based outlook. She is most proud of her independence as a woman who has overcome significant obstacles. Her educational background is rooted in the School of Hard Knocks, as she has never attended college and prefers hands-on learning over classroom settings.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Elizabeth

01What do you attribute your success to?

Just not giving up on myself. We all get to low places in our life and feel like giving up, but in the end no one should ever give up on their self. You should always press forward no matter how hard or difficult it is. I'm a very faith-based person, I do believe in God, and if it weren't for Him I wouldn't be here.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Look out for yourself and don't put too much energy and effort into other people, into what they think or what they believe that you should do. Don't take everyone's advice because everyone has something to say and unfortunately a lot of negative things to say. When you listen to advice you lose your inner voice and cannot hear your own intuition. Stay true to yourself, don't take everyone's advice, keep clear strong boundaries, protect yourself and surround yourself with your own. Treat yourself as you would treat your child if you had one.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

In healthcare there is a shortage of doctors and nurses because the revenue is not that well and they aren't being paid that well. People in healthcare have to take on a lot of negative things from patients which wears on their morale and mental health. It's a really hard job and they aren't compensated enough or rewarded enough and don't get enough positive feedback.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Just staying true to myself, staying true to my beliefs, my integrity, and maintaining boundaries. That's a very important thing as well.
