Her Interview
Ten minutes with Elizabeth
01What do you attribute your success to?
A good chunk of it always is gonna be your self-drive. I'm very motivated just on my own, but also just making sure you're working with the right people and you have the right support too. It means a great deal when you surround yourself with the right individuals in the industry, female or male, and seek out advice from others too. Don't be afraid to ask a question.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Put yourself out there. It can be scary, it's a little intense, it's intimidating at first when you're new to the work field. But don't be afraid to reach out and ask someone for help, or ask those questions, get that advice, find someone who's willing to mentor, because majority of the people out there just would be more than happy to.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
A challenge that we're facing right now is just we're going through a driver shortage in the bulk. It's been acknowledged but it's affecting our customers, our ability to keep the business running. It's been really rough in the transportation industry.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Self-motivation and just putting yourself out there. Everyone has their different version of self-care. To me, mine is I love to read, so I always find something both distracting but also educational. I typically balance between those two. Every month I also treat myself to maintaining my skin and I do a facial.
