My advice to young women entering the administrative industry is to be proactive, master technology, set professional boundaries, and focus on continuous learning to become a strategic partner, not just a support role. By applying these principles, young women can position themselves not just as effective administrative or executive assistants, but as future leaders in business operations.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The administrative industry is shifting, and administrative professionals who embrace technology, proactively expand their skill sets, and focus on strategic contributions will find plenty of opportunities for growth and career advancement.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that are most important to me professionally and personally are kindness/compassion - showing empathy and a willingness to help others enhances connections and overall well-being; integrity/honesty - having strong moral principles and being truthful even when no one is watching builds trust and transparency in all relationships.
