Her Story

About Elizabeth

Beth Kuttler serves as a Senior Claims Processor at Carrot, a company in the health benefits and fertility benefits industry based in West Des Moines, Iowa. She started in this role in November 2024 after spending five years as an elementary music teacher and a year and a half at a credit union. In her current position, Kuttler processes approximately 50 claims each day while providing support to a team of 43 colleagues, including the care team, and she was promoted to senior in March. She was one of the first to work on claims for Carrot's new Direct Pay initiative, handling every claim for the first three months and later training others on the process. Kuttler is currently pursuing her project management certification and has expressed interest in moving into a management position within the fertility benefits area in the coming years. Outside of her professional work, she is a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts after 12 years of participation and plans to volunteer with the Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Take it day by day because every day you're going to learn something new. Don't shy away from opportunities that you're given, because the more opportunities you take, the more you'll be able to learn, and the more of a difference you'll be able to make.

02What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Not enough research around women's bodies, specifically in the fertility space and metabolic health for menopause and fertility. Looking to make a difference by donating time or resources to those types of businesses.
