Her Story
About Elizabeth
Elizabeth Peterson brings more than 40 years of experience to the medical billing industry. She began her career performing odd jobs in the medical office where her mother worked and advanced to receptionist before moving through various doctors' offices. She then spent 15 years at the EMR software company eClinicalWorks as a trainer, specializing in the billing side of the software and working with federally qualified health centers. In 2018 she retired from that role and founded her own medical billing company, which she operated until 2023. As billing manager at Murphy Medical Associates she turned the practice around from operating in the red to generating approximately $15,000 weekly in cash flow. She became an SME on eClinicalWorks software through multiple training classes and remains active as a consultant and mentor. Elizabeth is a longtime member of Toastmasters International, where she earned three regional and divisional speaking awards, and she volunteers with Great Danes rescue through Daisy's Dane Sanctuary. She attributes her success to her willingness to admit when she does not know an answer and her commitment to finding the correct information while maintaining honesty and loyalty in both her professional and personal life.
