I've been working as a sales and marketing consultant for 2 years now, and what I really enjoy is helping businesses succeed. In my business, if we help them market their business, they get more customers and clients. I work with over 200 clients, preparing proposals for advertising their business and seeing what fits them the best. A typical day for me involves preparing a list of clients I'm going to be visiting with the day before, then I stop by and meet with clients, sell the products that we do, and a lot of times we get good feedback. I book their ads for them and help them create the ads if I need to. There's a lot that goes into it - it's not just a simple task. Before this, I was in sales at a different job in a trucking business, but that one wasn't as fulfilling as this one, so that's why I switched over. What inspired me to get into this field was seeing how some businesses were not getting enough business due to lack of marketing. Me being able to help them get their name out, to get the audience that they need for their business and target the audience that they need, helps get in more customers. My strong suit is customer service - I have a friendly personality and people tend to listen and understand.
