Her Story
About Ellery
Ellery Davidson serves in corporate partnerships at Miller Sports and Entertainment in Salt Lake City, Utah, where she connects companies with sports teams including Real Salt Lake, Utah Royals, Salt Lake Bees, and Megaplex Theaters to develop mutually beneficial solutions. She began her sports career after moving to Salt Lake City to join the University of Utah cheer team, which sparked her interest in sports broadcasting. During college she worked in broadcasting for local Utah teams, handling hosting and sideline reporting, before an internship in sales with the Utah Jazz led her to ticketing roles with Real Salt Lake and Utah Royals and eventually her current position. Davidson specializes in creating emotional brand moments through sports environments and spends her days on outreach, prospecting, client relationship building through lunches and golf, and developing innovative ideas involving social media and stadium signage. She is proud of her work supporting the Utah Royals women's soccer team by matching values-aligned companies that empower women. Outside her role she participates in the Legs women's networking and fundraising golf league and charitable efforts with the Larry Schmiller Foundation. Davidson credits her success to her parents' encouragement to push boundaries and pursue dreams without limits, advice she applies by actively creating networking and career opportunities for herself.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Ellery
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute a lot of my success to the way I was raised. My two parents really encouraged me to always push the fold and no dream was too big, and so the way I've lived my life, by just going after things, whether that's asking someone to go to lunch to network with them, showing up to networking or events alone, sending a resume to somebody just randomly. Just knowing that there's opportunities if you create them for yourselves.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
From my dad, who has always said that you can reach for the stars, but you can go way past the stars, and you're not confined to a box. I've really lived my whole life being like, okay, this is the normal, but how can I push that, and how can I become better, and no dream is too big.
