Her Story

About Elli

I have been in healthcare for over half a decade, with the past year in my current position. My background is in process improvement, and I have a really deep passion for being as efficient in the healthcare setting for patients, getting them the best diagnoses and the best type of care that they can get. My work has been between admin and providers, really highlighting data to help providers make the best decisions, helping them get data in order to make decisions and get admin on their side, and really helping be a provider advocate. Every day is actually totally different for me, which I really enjoy. My biggest responsibility is ensuring that providers have the right information and the right tools and the right support. That's really how I see myself - support providers so that they can provide the best care for their patients. COVID actually inspired me to get into this field, believe it or not. I felt this need to help people. I know that the world of healthcare was really under a lot of pressure, and I felt that I could do something to help even just one person, which is kind of what started my journey in healthcare. From there, I've had a lot of really great mentorship, and I have appreciated all of the opportunities that I've gotten that have gotten me where I'm at now.

Ten minutes with Elli

01What do you attribute your success to?

I would say the mentorship that I've received, as well as hard work and trying to really focus on surrounding myself with people that I look up to and that I enjoy working with every day. The mentorship and guidance that I've been able to give so many people that have been around me is really where my passion is, and I do feel a sense of gratitude and fulfillment when I've been able to bring other people up with me. That's a big part of my career now, and I hope it continues to be that in the future.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

I would say to find a way to learn from every opportunity. Good or bad, there's always a lesson to take away from it, and don't be afraid to try to put a positive spin on any experience that you're going through.
