Ten minutes with Ellie

01What do you attribute your success to?

Sales has always come naturally to me. I like technology. It's like do what you love and see who shows up - it naturally triggers all the things I'm interested in. I like sales because of problem solving and relationship building and the strategy around it. I like the technology aspects because it's cutting edge, where we're headed, I'm always curious about the future.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

From my dad who passed away: do what you love and see who shows up. It's a real kind of dumbed-down way of saying do what you're good at, do what you're passionate at, and then the universe will move around that if you stay true to what's important to you.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Have confidence in yourself, be a go-getter, be genuine, know who you are, know what you bring to the table. Be hungry, smart, willing to do the work. Thinking outside of the box, finding the person, sending them an email even if they don't have a position open.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Corporate America is changing with AI and the whole landscape and leadership is changing. The biggest challenge is keeping pace with technology that's changing quicker and exponentially, staying relevant, and remaining true to our values.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Morals and ethics are foundational. Working in a positive environment with innovative, smart, talented folks. ServiceNow is a great company to work with.
