Her Story
About Ellie
Ellie Ferreira has spent more than fifteen years building a career rooted in precision and analytical thinking. Her professional journey began in accounting, where she discovered an early passion for payroll, before moving into human resources. Finding herself disillusioned with certain aspects of upper management during her time in HR, she drew on her accounting foundation to pivot into finance, a field she found refreshingly clear-cut compared to the ambiguity she'd encountered elsewhere. This shift led to a nearly decade-long tenure as a Business, Financial & Project Controls Data Analyst at BMO Financial Group, preceded by financial and administrative leadership roles at organizations including the Toronto Transit Commission, Supermidia Live Marketing, and BIB Incorporações in Brazil. Across these positions, she built deep expertise in budget audits, forecasting, variance analysis, vendor coordination, and financial systems management, consistently earning a reputation as a trusted partner in corporate planning and operational strategy.
A pivotal turning point came when Ellie experienced early menopause following a medical procedure, a transition made far more difficult by the lack of understanding and support she encountered, including from healthcare providers who repeatedly overlooked her symptoms. Determined that others shouldn't face the same silence, she stepped away from the corporate world to become a Certified Wellness Practitioner & Consultant, founding 3veryThink Consulting. Through this venture, she now applies the same analytical rigor she once brought to corporate finance to the underserved space of perimenopause, menopause, and post-menopause wellness, offering structured, data-informed guidance, symptom tracking, and educational outreach to clients across the United States, Canada, and Brazil in both English and Portuguese. Her work extends into workplace advocacy as well, helping organizations build greater menopause literacy and support for their employees.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Ellie remains closely involved in her husband's real estate business, overseeing the behind-the-scenes operations including vendor relationships, client coordination, invoicing, and general administrative management. She holds an Associate's Degree in Business Administration from Miami Dade College, where she was recognized with a Dean's Letter for honor achievement, along with an English Language certificate from Harvard University and certifications in QuickBooks and wellness coaching. A longtime member of the National Society of Leadership and Success, she also dedicates time to causes close to her heart, including animal welfare, children's welfare, and supporting women who have survived breast cancer. Whether guiding a client through a wellness roadmap or untangling a complex financial report, Ellie approaches every role with the same guiding philosophy: deliver your best, no matter to whom or when.

Ten minutes with Ellie
01What do you attribute your success to?
Looking back, my path has felt almost coincidental rather than planned. I began studying accounting and fell in love with payroll, which led me into HR. I found certain aspects of higher management in HR disappointing, so I drew on my accounting background and pivoted into finance, a field I found more exact and rational, where outcomes are either profit or loss rather than abstract. That clarity suited my personality well. In my husband's real estate business, I manage everything outside of his on-site work, including bureaucracy, vendors, clients, and invoicing, since I bring the knowledge and experience needed for that side of things. Alongside this, I dedicate myself to spreading menopause awareness, something I personally lacked support around after entering early menopause due to a medical procedure. That experience pushed me to leave the corporate world and focus on social media advocacy and coaching a handful of clients. If I had to identify what has carried me through each stage of my career, I would say it is my consistent commitment to providing customized support and resources to whoever I was serving. Delivering tailored, high-quality service is what I believe I do best, and I attribute much of my success to that consistency.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Always deliver your best, no matter to whom or when.
03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Based on what I've shared about my career and advocacy, the values that come through most clearly are precision and rationality in my financial work, where I appreciate clarity over ambiguity. I also deeply value customized, attentive support, whether for a finance stakeholder, a client, or my husband's business operations. Advocacy and community awareness matter greatly to me as well, particularly around menopause, since I experienced firsthand what it feels like to lack support during a difficult health transition, and I am committed to ensuring others don't face that same silence.
