Over 16 years, she has built a strong base of renewals and advanced in her role while maintaining the independence of a 1099 position. Prior to insurance, she worked in sales at CBS.com and CBSMarketWatch.com. Imperial earned a psychology degree from Villanova University and a master's degree in journalism from New York University. She emphasizes the power of renewals and the importance of a determined mindset, daily cold calls, and strategic networking with professionals like accountants and real estate attorneys to succeed in selling to small businesses via payroll deductions.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
You need to come in with an attitude that it is do or die, you're gonna make this work. Give it a year if you can. Make 200 cold calls a day. Develop your network right out of the gate with people you know like accountants or real estate attorneys. It's not selling to friends and family but to small businesses for payroll deductions.
