Her Story

About Elodie

I worked as a bartender for almost 20 years, but I realized there was no growth in it. A medical setback happened to me personally that created a complete 365 in my life. When I changed my whole life with wellness and fitness, I became very passionate about wanting to help other women. I took courses on health and life coaching and created my own brand, The New Mom's Body. I started doing personal training as well, working only with women because that's what I'm more passionate about. But then I felt that something was kind of missing in my life, it was just not all of it. I decided to get into sales to learn about selling. Now I've been doing B2B sales in telecommunications for about 8 months. My goal is to get into high ticket sales for health coaching and wellness to help others. When I started my brand and wanted to do health coaching and personal training, I really wanted to help other women, but I just didn't know how to market myself or how to really sell, which is when I got into sales and got very good training.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Elodie

01What do you attribute your success to?

I would say my attitude. I'm a very positive person. My consistency is really important to me. And my belief that everything is achievable - that's what drives me forward.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would say for her to focus and go where her passion is. Don't just go for any job just because she needs a job, but focus on her passion, because at the end, we're gonna have to work for a lot of years. When we're so young, we focus on any job and we really don't know where we want to go or what we want to do. I would tell her to focus on really trying to get into a field that she's really passionate about, and to trust the process. We all have to start from zero, but she will climb up.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

I do door-to-door from business to business, and it can be a lot on your mental. You have to always keep your attitude up front and stay positive. A bad day or a bad interaction can restart your whole day. The weather can be very challenging too - it can be very hot, it can be raining. It can be a lot.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I would say honesty is my biggest value. Honesty is the most important thing to me. And hard work - that's essential in everything I do.
