What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to a combination of persistence, relationship-building, and a genuine passion for improving patient outcomes. My background in biology gives me the knowledge to understand complex medical technologies, while my business foundation helps me build strategy and drive growth. I’ve built long-lasting partnerships with providers by listening, problem-solving, and tailoring solutions that truly meet their needs. I thrive on teamwork and collaboration—I enjoy celebrating wins not only individually but as part of a team. That combination of determination, expertise, and a team-first mindset has allowed me to consistently exceed goals while making a positive impact on both patients and providers.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
During the summers when I was in college, I caddied at the Coeur d'Alene Resort Golf Course. I was going into my Junior year of school, anticipating a bioengineering degree. One of the clients I was caddying for asked me if I will enjoy working in a lab everyday - because that's what bioengineers typically do. I really pondered that and he suggested I look into medical device/pharmaceutical sales. It would be a perfect blend of relationship-building with my science and business background. That was the best career advice anyone had ever given me at that point in my life. I truly love what I do as it is extremely rewarding, provides flexibility at times, and I have been blessed to be a part of some amazing teams with phenomenal managers and mentors. I am forever grateful for the client that suggested I go down this career path.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Get those internships early in college, make as many connections as you can both locally and nationwide. Don't be afraid to reach out to the CEO, Director of Sales, or the VP's when you are applying for internships and find a reason why you stand out from the others. You have to be willing to do what everyone else isn't doing. Most importantly - you have to grind once you get that internship. Be the first intern up in the morning and the last one to leave. Always follow up with customers and execute on what you say you're going to do. Treat your customers like Gold.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Healthcare is undergoing rapid transformation, with independent practices declining by over 3,000 closures in rural areas between 2019 and 2024 and a 43% drop in physician-owned groups in those regions. Many providers are consolidating into larger hospital systems, IDNs, or GPOs to stay viable. At the same time, reimbursement pressures (a 33% decline in Medicare payments since 2001 and further cuts in 2025) combined with persistent workforce shortages are making it increasingly difficult for smaller practices to remain sustainable. In this environment, it is imperative that we support our customers in finding ways to generate revenue and strengthen their operations. Equally important, we must ensure that, despite financial and structural challenges, patients continue to receive the gold standard of care they deserve.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
I believe in leading with excellence, integrity, and purpose. My career is fueled by a passion for making a positive impact—whether that’s helping providers adopt life-changing therapies, improving patient outcomes, or supporting my colleagues in reaching their full potential. I value teamwork and collaboration, knowing that the greatest successes are shared, and I strive to create strong, trust-based relationships with those I work alongside. I am committed to continuous growth and learning, embracing challenges as opportunities to innovate and improve. Resilience and tenacity guide me through obstacles, while service and leadership drive me to mentor others and elevate the standards of care within my community. Above all, I hold a deep responsibility to ensure that patients receive the gold standard of care, and I align my work with that mission every day.
