Her Story
About Else
My career began in finance, then evolved through working with entrepreneurial businesses in different fields before I opened my own interior design window coverings business that I successfully ran for over 20 years in multiple locations. That experience led me to discover coaching, which wasn't something I was looking for but became my zone of genius. I've now been in the coaching field for over 7 years, specializing in self-leadership and business and entrepreneurial mindset coaching. My key responsibilities are first and foremost to guide my clients towards what their perfect life looks like and building their ambitions in a way that supports their lives. My other focus is education, because I believe that most of us are programmed throughout our lives to think one certain way, and it's my goal to help people understand the influence they have on their own lives and their own outcomes. I also run my business and stay active in my community. I'm born and raised in Denmark, and I'm lucky enough to travel a lot and make that part of not only my personal life but also my professional life to do work abroad.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Else
01What do you attribute your success to?
I think my success is attributed to being honest with myself and not trying to make my influence or my belief system part of my client's belief system. I allow them space, and I allow myself space without compromise. This honesty and respect for boundaries, both with my clients and myself, has been fundamental to everything I've achieved.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would say to her, don't be discouraged. You'll hit a lot of roadblocks, but every roadblock is a building block for the next chapter of you. It's important to understand that the challenges you face aren't setbacks, they're actually opportunities to grow and build the foundation for what comes next in your journey.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
I think the biggest challenge and opportunity is one and the same - it's understanding how AI can enhance the coaching world, but also, at the same time, making sure we keep it human, that we keep helping our clients be critical thinkers and be on the forefront of technology without technology taking over their world. One of my main points that I really focus on in my coaching is self-leadership and understanding that responsibility we have to ourselves and to our community to really think through what we actually do and not just let AI dictate it.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that are most important to me are acceptance and understanding of other people, compassion, and honesty. These principles guide everything I do, both professionally and personally, and they're at the core of how I show up for my clients and the people closest to me.
