Elvira DiBrigit
Elvira DiBrigit is an independent education professional, parent coach, teen mentor, and author based in Kealakekua, Hawaii. She is the founder of Teen Mind Body Coach, a specialized coaching practice dedicated to helping parents strengthen their relationships with tweens and teens while providing direct life and success coaching to young people. With over 30 years of experience in education, including teaching and coaching for independent study and homeschool families, Elvira combines hands-on learning, evidence-based coaching techniques, and imagination-building exercises to foster emotional resilience, positive communication, and personal growth in her clients.
Elvira’s educational foundation includes Waldorf/Steiner teacher training at Rudolf Steiner College and a teaching credential from Alliant International University. She is also a certified Positive Intelligence Coach and completed mentorship with Marianne Williamson, experiences that have shaped her approach to family and teen coaching. Over her career, she has worked extensively with parents to reduce stress, build confidence, and navigate the challenges of adolescence, while supporting teens in developing the emotional awareness and coping skills that set them up for long-term success.
Beyond her coaching work, Elvira is passionate about community, sustainability, and lifelong learning. She operates an organic farm in Hawaii that engages volunteers and provides hands-on educational opportunities. Her personal mission is to reduce childhood trauma, strengthen family connections, and help teens thrive during the critical tween and teen years. Looking ahead, she plans to expand her programs with structured parent and teen courses while continuing to integrate neuroscience-informed strategies, positive psychology, and creative, activity-based coaching into her practice.

Decades of experience working directly with children and families have shaped my compassionate and practical approach, one that emphasizes listening, empathy, and building meaningful connections.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to stay aligned with my purpose and keep learning. I believe that ongoing personal development, along with openness to new tools and knowledge, is essential for making a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would advise young women entering this field to follow their hearts and take the time to carefully research training programs and certifications. I encourage building a strong educational foundation and choosing paths that genuinely align with your passion for helping others.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest dynamics in my field right now is the rapid growth of the coaching industry, which brings both opportunities and challenges. While there are more tools than ever—ranging from advancements in neuroscience to digital platforms and AI-powered marketing—the space can also feel crowded and noisy. I believe that authentic connection, credibility, and delivering meaningful results will continue to distinguish truly impactful coaches.

The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are compassion, service, and authenticity. I am deeply committed to helping families build healthier relationships, and I believe that when parents and children truly understand each other, it creates a lasting positive impact across generations.
