Her Interview

Ten minutes with Elyse

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to trusting my intuition, persevering through difficult experiences, and having the courage to build a career around work that feels meaningful to me. My journey has required resilience, reinvention, and a willingness to turn painful experiences into purpose. I have remained committed to helping others recognize their inner strength, rebuild their confidence, and understand their self-worth. I also attribute my continued growth to being authentic with my clients, building lasting relationships, and remaining dedicated to my work for more than two decades.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I follow is to never give up, regardless of what others say or think about me. I believe it is important to trust my intuition and listen to my inner voice rather than allowing criticism or other people's opinions to determine my direction. I view closed doors as opportunities to discover new possibilities, because one rejection does not mean every opportunity is out of reach. I remain focused on what I believe to be true and continue moving forward, even when others may not understand my path.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I encourage young women entering the spiritual empowerment field to do their research, read widely, and learn from experienced practitioners who have spent years developing their knowledge and skills. I believe it is important to look beyond social media platforms such as TikTok and Instagram, avoid relying solely on online content or Hollywood portrayals, and develop an informed understanding of the field. Most importantly, I encourage women to follow their own paths, trust their intuition, and feel confident expressing who they are. Building resilience and developing a thick skin are also essential, because not everyone will understand or support their choices. I believe that staying true to yourself, remaining open to learning, and persevering through criticism are important parts of pursuing meaningful work.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in my field is spirit communication, particularly when clients hope to connect with loved ones who have recently passed away. My spiritual practice includes a three-month waiting period before attempting communication, which can be difficult for grieving clients who are seeking immediate answers or comfort. I must communicate my boundaries and expectations clearly while approaching these sensitive situations with care and understanding.

At the same time, I see opportunities to expand awareness of spiritual empowerment through professional recognition, media features, and platforms that allow me to reach a wider audience. Receiving the 2026 Evergreen Award and being featured in publications such as Power Magazine, Women's Insider, and Women's Reporter have created opportunities to increase visibility for my business. I also value the opportunity to help people navigate intimate and personal challenges while encouraging them to recognize their own strength, develop self-worth, and take an active role in their personal growth.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Intuition is not simply what I do; it is an important part of who I am. I believe healing is not just a destination but a journey back to oneself. In my work, I value honesty, authenticity, and creating a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable discussing their concerns. I do not believe in sugarcoating my guidance simply to make difficult conversations easier. Instead, I strive to offer direct, honest perspectives while treating people with understanding and respect. I want my clients to feel as though they are talking to a trusted friend who listens without judgment, while encouraging them to recognize their own inner strength and take ownership of their personal growth.
