Emilia Campos Schaffler, MBA, MSc: Speaker: Emilia Campos Schaffler, Regional Sales Manager - JetBrainsEmilia Campos Schaffler: Influence is not a tire. It's what people remember after you leave the room. What does being an Influential Woman mean to you?Emilia Campos Schaffler: Influence is not a tire. It's what people remember after you leave the room. That's what being an influential woman means to me. Being an influential woman is not about recognition. It's about impact, real impact. It's about the influence you create every single day, through your decisions, your voice, and your actions. In my career, in the technology industry, I've learned that influence is built in moments that often go unnoticed. In meetings. In conversation with customers in how you lead teams across regions, cultures, and constant change. Many times I was one of the few women in the room, right, it does happen, especially in technical and commercial discussions. In those moments, influence wasn't about speaking louder. It was about being prepared. Asking the right questions and connecting business goals and customer needs. As I moved into leadership roles, influence became responsibility. People don't just follow strategy, they follow clarity, consistency. And, of course, trusts. Being influential means showing up, especially when things are not easy right? Being transparent. Being reliable. And leading with integrity. It also means leading with authenticity. I've learned that I don't need to fit into a predefined leadership style. My influence comes from collaboration, from building strong relationships, and from creating space for others to grow and succeed. One of the most powerful forms of influence is lifting others up. Sharing knowledge. Encouraging confidence, opening doors whenever you can. Because influence grows when it's shared. And finally, being an influential woman means staying aligned with your values. In a fast moving competitive industry, results does matter. But how we achieve them matters even more. In my journey helps even one person feels more confident, more prepared. Or more seen. Then that's to me. Is the true influence. And that is what being an influential woman means to me.What's one piece of advice would you give to younger women chasing their dreams?Emilia Campos Schaffler: My advice is simple don't give up when obstacles appear because they will. Every generation has its own challenges. Mine started very early. I was born into a poor family in the countryside, far from the future possible I thought was possible to me. I started working when I was 14 years old. I worked during the day and studied at night. At a young age, I left home twisted and work in a big city. The money I earned was just enough for food. Being far from my family, with no financial safety, was one of the hardest parts of my journey. But those challenges shaped who I am today. So my advice to younger women is this. Don't let your starting point define your destination. He stood. Prepare yourself, be the best you can. And when you face guard has. Learn how to overcome them. Today many people are afraid of the future. Especially with artificial intelligence. They say AI will take my job. I see it differently. AI is an opportunity, an opportunity to overcome even better at what you do. But success won't come from tools alone. It comes from people who take the time to build well and build smart. So dream big, work hard. Keep learning. And remember your challenges challenges are not a disadvantage, they are part of what makes you strong. That is the advice I would give to a younger human chasing their dreams.
