Her Story
About Emily
I'm a business manager for a family-owned small business that's actually my stepdad's business. I've been in this role for around 3 years, but I've really helped them on and off my whole life with different skills and stuff. Growing up around this family business has always been something I've been interested in, and I've watched my stepdad run it for a long time. In my day-to-day work, I handle all the invoicing and billing and checks, manage payroll, and talk to different clients about what my stepdad is going to do for them and schedule when the business is going to come. My areas of expertise include billing, Excel, and anything along those lines. Before this, I worked in a boutique during my junior and senior year of high school for about 2 years, then moved to Lexington, Kentucky and worked at an Amazon Center for about 2 years. I've been going to school throughout all of this and I'm graduating in December with my degree in business management from the University of the Cumberlands, after finishing my Associate's degree at Big Sandy Community College.
