I attribute my success to the strong foundation instilled in me by my grandmother and mother, along with my faith. Growing up in the church shaped my values, work ethic, and resilience, and continues to guide me both personally and professionally.

The best career advice I’ve ever received came from my grandmother: always hold people accountable, but lead with empathy. She taught me to understand that everyone has a life beyond work, and strong leadership balances expectations with compassion.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to remember that your voice matters. Speak up, share your perspective, and trust that your ideas and experiences bring real value.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the greatest opportunities in my field is continued growth and the ability to keep learning and evolving as healthcare changes. At the same time, losing a patient is always a profound challenge, and it reinforces the importance of compassion, resilience, and supporting both families and care teams.

The value that matters most to me in both my work and personal life is the power of purpose. Having a clear sense of why I do what I do guides my decisions, fuels my commitment, and keeps me grounded through both challenges and successes.
