Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to a combination of curiosity, empathy, and adaptability. I approach challenges with disciplined problem-solving, and I’m not afraid to question outdated practices. I take pride in pursuing innovative materials and methods, even when it means navigating resistance within the industry.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I advise young women entering this industry to speak up in male-dominated spaces and trust their vision. Learn construction from the ground up, stay hands-on with contractors, and pursue emerging building technologies. Never apologize for bringing empathy and wellness into architectural conversations, because these elements ultimately lead to better outcomes.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The most important values to me in both my work and personal life are kindness, integrity, sustainability, curiosity, respect for nature, collaboration, and transparency. I believe in designing with long-term purpose rather than short-term profit, because architecture should serve both people and the planet.
