About Emily
I have my own consulting practice called Impact Ilk Brands, where I work as a fractional CMO to nonprofits, social impact, and SMB organizations. I'm interested in helping organizations solidify their growth architecture at a time when there's a lot of downward pressure on these types of organizations. This includes helping leadership define their strategy and ensure that their people, systems, revenue generation, and brand marketing are aligned and all working together so that they can enjoy compounded growth over time. I have three main offerings: a growth assessment and plan offering where I work very closely with leadership to audit all of their activities in governance, brand marketing, marketing infrastructure, technical infrastructure, and how they're generating revenue, then help them identify where the gaps are in that system and develop a plan to close up those gaps and capitalize on opportunities. I also do this in a one-day or half-day workshop, which is a lot shorter and more targeted. The third offering is fractional CMO services, where after those assessments or plans have been developed, there's an opportunity to work with me ongoing on a monthly basis, where I can serve as a part-time growth strategist and CMO without the cost of a full-time hire in that kind of role. I like to work with organizations in the tri-state area in New York since I'm based in New York City, because then I can actually visit and work in person, however I also do quite a bit of work remotely. I'm able to work on and off with various other professionals, and I also rely a good bit on very smart use of AI.

02What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
I'm interested in helping organizations solidify their growth architecture at a time when there's a lot of downward pressure on these types of organizations. The challenge is that nonprofits, social impact organizations, and SMBs are facing significant pressure, and they need help defining their strategy and ensuring that their people, systems, revenue generation, and brand marketing are aligned and all working together so that they can enjoy compounded growth over time. There are gaps in their systems around governance, brand marketing, marketing infrastructure, technical infrastructure, and revenue generation that need to be identified and closed up, and opportunities that need to be capitalized on.
