Q

What do you attribute your success to?

When I was in college, I was working three jobs, three full-time jobs, and being a full-time student at the same time. That was my biggest accomplishment so far. I would say I don't have anything crazy or super big accomplished yet because I'm still very fresh into this world, but balancing those three full-time jobs plus being a full-time student and graduating from Florida Atlantic University was huge for me. I'm still very early in my career and trying to navigate all of that, figuring out where I want to head and where I want my career to be.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

My mentor Marla Past has been incredible for me. She works in the spa and breathwork field, and I've been doing some digital marketing work for her. She's kind of like my mom away from being a mom. She's super supportive and keeps me uplifted, and not only does she do that with me, I see her do that with her clients as well. I try to take that approach into my own position, being supportive and uplifting with the people I work with and serve.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would say just stick to yourself, stick to your morals, and what you feel is correct. Obviously, dealing with the customer service world, always be polite and respectful. And then always just be genuine. I think it's really important in this field because there's a lot of community that we've lost, especially within simple, basic interactions. Show respect to each other, and just listen and be helpful. If someone asks a question, give them an answer. Don't just say, like, oh, go on Google. Actually help people and preserve those basic human interactions.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Right now for me, it's figuring it out honestly. I have a bunch of ideas of where I want to head and where I want my career to be, but as far as that actual job and what that is, figuring it out is the hard part. I'm still very early in my career and trying to navigate all of that.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

For me, I value showing up. You know, you say you're gonna be there, you're gonna be there, and not only showing up but showing up with your all and committing to the work that you're gonna do. I also think it's really important to create a good and happy work environment. When you walk into work, you want that energy to be good, you want your coworkers to get along. You don't have to love your boss, but you don't want tension. Outside of work, I love going to the beach, so I'm paddleboarding, snorkeling, tanning, and swimming all the time. I love going for walks on the nature trails around this area. And then just being with friends and people that I love, having good times and always socializing.
