About Emma

Emma Wang, MBA is a supply chain executive and procurement leader who currently serves as Vice President of Supply Chain Operations for TCI USA, one of the world's leading supplement and nutrition contract manufacturers. Based in the Salt Lake City metropolitan area, she oversees global strategic procurement and supply chain operations across TCI’s international manufacturing network spanning the United States, Taiwan, China, Spain, and India. Recognized for her expertise in global sourcing, supplier management, and manufacturing operations, Emma plays a key role in strengthening supply chain resilience and supporting the company’s worldwide growth initiatives.

Emma’s professional journey is a story of ambition, adaptability, and continuous advancement. After earning her MBA with top honors in Utah, she entered the nutritional supplements industry in 2019, initially serving as an executive assistant before quickly advancing into operations management. Throughout the challenges of the COVID-19 era, she demonstrated exceptional business acumen by identifying cost-saving opportunities, negotiating strategic supplier partnerships, and driving substantial revenue growth. In a previous role, her sales performance generated business equal to half of the company’s annual revenue and matched the organization’s cumulative growth from the previous decade, earning her a 10% ownership stake in the business.

Seeking a larger platform for impact, Emma joined TCI USA as a Procurement Manager and rapidly progressed through a series of leadership positions, including North American Sourcing and Procurement Leader, Global Sourcing Leader, and Global Procurement Director, before being promoted to Vice President. Today, she leads procurement strategy for a global manufacturing enterprise while championing innovation, operational excellence, and long-term supplier partnerships. Emma attributes her success to consistent effort, lifelong learning, and the willingness to embrace challenges before feeling fully prepared. Beyond her professional responsibilities, she is committed to personal wellness, maintaining an active lifestyle through fitness, cycling, pickleball, and health-focused goal tracking.

Ten minutes with Emma

01What do you attribute your success to?

For my career, it's not defined by where you start. It's defined by your willingness to keep learning and moving forward. Along my journey, every challenge carries an opportunity to grow. I never underestimated what a consistent offer can achieve over time. What motivates me is just overcoming the challenges that are put on you, and you will have a surprise of what life gives to you. If you have these kind of ambitions and passion about doing something until it gets to succeed, you will get there.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women would be, don't wait until you feel ready. Most leadership opportunities come before you feel fully prepared. Be willing to make mistakes and keep moving. Confidence is not something that you start with, it's something you build through action.
