Emma Young

Emma has been working in the field of writing and publishing since 2010. Her entry into the industry came through a paid internship at IU Press during college, where she realized the role allowed her to engage with a wide variety of topics and writers without specializing in one area. Over the subsequent years, she gained experience in editing and copywriting before advancing to higher-level work in developmental editing, book planning, book project management, and ghostwriting. She has a particular interest in memoir ghostwriting, assisting clients in capturing their life stories for personal or wider audiences. Looking ahead, Emma aims to expand into the philanthropy and policy space by translating complex research into accessible policy proposals, grant proposals, and reports. She is also developing her own publishing platform focused on nonlinear nonfiction writing formats, such as wiki-style structures that enable multiple pathways through content via tagging and interfaces.
