Her Story

About Endioly

I'm originally a teacher by profession, but when I moved here to Utah, I started my own business of decoration and event planning. I have two businesses - Events Pro Reception Center, which is my venue in Midvale where we rent space for parties, celebrations, quinceaneras, and any celebration you want to do, and Elgubi Fest, my event planning business named after myself. I do everything from decorations and pinatas to Master of Ceremony services and party rentals including chairs, tables, tablecloths, and all the essentials. I've been in the decoration field for about 5 years. As the manager and operations manager of the venue, my typical day involves getting leads, working with possible clients and customers, providing customer service, and handling all operations. I'm a single mom, and I'm incredibly proud of the many steps I've taken to grow my businesses. What drives me most is the happiness we create - our goal is to help people have wonderful moments with us, celebrating in our spaces. I work with an amazing team at the venue, and my family, especially my daughter and my mom, are my best support here in Utah.

Ten minutes with Endioly

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to being constant and committed. You have to be consistent in what you do and keep pushing forward. The teamwork with my family has also been essential - my daughter and my mom are my best support here in Utah. My parents help me with everything. My dad helps me with the pinatas, working on the cardboard like my engineer, and my mom helps me a lot too. I'm a single mom, so their support means everything. I think that teamwork in family and being constant in my efforts are what have made me successful.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I ever received was from my partner at the venue. We've been friends for 15 years, and when I came here to Utah, she told me to do what I love. She said if I love to do art and craft, why don't I make pinatas here? This was especially during the pandemic, during COVID time, and she said just do it, practice it, and start. She told me that if you don't start, you cannot know if you can grow. She was really encouraging me to do that stuff, and now we have the venue together because I definitely followed her motivation and her words. We're working together now because of that advice.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would tell young women to just get preparation and trust in themselves. They can do anything - any person could do the same I do, maybe even better than I do. They should improve themselves, take courses, and study what they love. Even in my industry, there are many courses and trainings to become event planners, and also for balloons and decorations, which is another thing that I do. There are many, many options they can pursue to get into this industry. And yeah, definitely, if they love to do that, just grow ahead. Go ahead and grow ahead. Don't hold back.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Family is the most important value to me because we work in a really good team. Here in Utah, my daughter and my mom are my best support - they are the most important. As I mentioned, I'm a single mom, so they help me with everything. Even my dad helps me with the pinatas, working on the cardboard like my engineer, and my mom helps me a lot too. They are the best. I think that teamwork in family is what matters most. Everything I do is service-based - you create something and others will be receiving that. If you don't do it with passion and accuracy, if you're not going to do anything well, just don't do it. That's my phrase.
