Enjoli McClendon
A dedicated leader with strong problem-solving and communication skills, committed to providing exceptional service. Experienced in increasing revenue, managing employee relations, and handling administrative responsibilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office, data analysis, proofreading, and business mathematics. In my current role as a supervisor, I serve as a liaison between dispatch, operators, and management. I oversee dispatch operations and the work of operators while reporting to management. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience from both perspectives. Management primarily focuses on financial metrics and operational results, as they are removed from field activities. Conversely, I remain actively involved in the field, directly observing team performance and making immediate decisions. Balancing these dual responsibilities can be challenging, but I value my work ethic and ensure it reflects my commitment. I have learned that when my work ethic is not recognized or appreciated, it often leads me to reconsider my position, highlighting the importance of mutual respect and acknowledgment within an organization.

What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my faith. I would not be where I am heading in the direction I'm supposed to without faith. My trials and tribulations have shaped my character but my faith has brought me victory. All praise and glory be unto Him.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The most valuable advice I've ever received is the reminder that not all money is truly worth it. This insight runs very deep and can be applied in many situations. Yes, we all need a job, a career, or a business—something to provide the financial means to live our lives. We all desire a home, a car, and travel—these things require some form of financial stability. However, not all money is good money. Because if what you're doing, or how hard you're working, isn't bringing you happiness or is taking away your peace, then it's simply not worth it. My hope, both for others and myself, is to remember that if I find myself giving too much and losing my peace, I need to recognize that while I do need money, I can always find alternative ways to earn it. Whether that means changing careers, moving into a different role, or even switching companies, never allow a job to rob you of your peace. Some companies and management styles can exhaust you and take you for granted, failing to see how much they take from you. Protect your peace, because your well-being truly matters.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Never settle...
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge in my role is that I'm the middleman. I oversee dispatch and the operators, but I also answer to management. The difference as a middleman is I get hands-on experience on both ends. For management, it's all about numbers, bottom line, what's on paper. They're no longer outside in the field like the dispatchers and operators are. But I am. As a supervisor, as the middleman, I'm not only inside looking at the data, looking at the paperwork, the bottom line, I'm also in the field with them, seeing what they go through, and having to make decisions on the spot. So it's a little difficult to try to have both sides line up without somebody having to take a cut somewhere.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
My personal values are transparency, loyalty, and effective communication. Having faced numerous personal challenges, I have established firm standards and boundaries that I stand by confidently. It took time to reach a point where my core values are consistently reflected through my actions and commitments. What you see is genuine, and I am committed to authenticity. My work ethic aligns with these principles; I let my professional conduct speak for itself. I no longer feel the need to vocally defend my position, as the quality of my work demonstrates my dedication. I believe that if my contributions are not valued, there is no reason for me to remain. I have learned that my departure often prompts others to recognize what they stand to lose. I remain confident in the value I bring to any role. When in a position, I dedicate myself fully and adhere strictly to policies and procedures. I have thoroughly reviewed the employee handbook and understand the company's core values. If I agree with these values, I consistently embody them through my work and leadership, serving as a positive representation of the organization to colleagues and team members.
