About Erica

Erica Maknojiya serves as an Account Executive in the tech sector, focusing on restaurant and hospitality software sales. With over 10 years in the industry, she meets daily with owners of local community restaurants to discuss how software platforms can provide greater exposure and increased revenue for their businesses. Prior to her current role, Erica sold a similar platform involving Google SEO to plastic surgeons to help them reach more patients, and earlier she sold health and fitness services for a fitness coach, where she also completed coaching programs herself. Her first sales experience came from selling symphony subscriptions over the phone at a young age, which sparked her career. Erica achieved President's Club recognition in 2023 at a previous role by consistently meeting or exceeding her targets. She credits her success to a commitment to continuous growth and improvement, self-awareness, celebrating wins while identifying areas for development, and utilizing self-development and sales books along with coaching. Erica maintains a daily mindset practice including journaling and goal setting to handle the challenges of sales, and she aims to transition into a leadership position to coach and teach others the skills she has developed over the years.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Erica

01What do you attribute your success to?

I would just say, just constantly knowing that I can grow and improve, and being self-aware, and just being able to celebrate the wins, but also identifying places for improvement. Whether it be through self-development books, or different sales books, and coaching from people that I work with, or having a business coach before.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would just say maintain your confidence, work hard, work smart, and really tie in that mindset focus. You've got to continually work on that so that the rejection doesn't get to you, so that you can keep looking for that diamond in the rough, but just to keep going, like having that tenacity and having that grit, and it pays off in the end, especially in sales. All of the hard work financially pays off, but then also being able to see my customers grow their businesses and be really grateful for working with me.
