Her Story
About Erica
I have been carrying this vision for probably 10 plus years, possibly 20 plus years helping people own and embrace their identity through personal development and authenticity work. My company Becoming Consulting Firm is 8 months old but I have been doing the work for 15-20 years after exploring many fields including finance, FBI, IT, electrician, carpentry, teaching, and fashion design. My journey of self-discovery after an unhappy 23-year marriage led me to realize identity determines direction, and now I help visionaries and individuals unearth their true selves so they can lead confidently.

Ten minutes with Erica
01What do you attribute your success to?
Hardship and pain have purpose. The pain that I've endured has ultimately etched out in marble an identity that is unbreakable. I suffered and gone through it, and those bad things inform our character and allow us to become who we are meant to be. Stewardship and knowing yourself is not arrogance, it's stewardship.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Trust the process. Be patient. You have options. A lot of the mistakes that are made by young people are made because they think they have to do this or they are running out of time. Time is not promised to anyone, but you do have options.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge is phone mentality and people being okay with being complacent, mediocre, and blending in. Helping people unlearn that it is okay to stand out and be different. Opportunities include working with visionaries, CEOs who need language for who they are and pushing them to define themselves authentically.
